Cultural Agility is a vital competency that enables professionals to successfully communicate, understand, and authentically respond and respect cultural boundaries and differences. It is a mega-competency that is needed in a global marketplace - both domestically and abroad.
Often, when we think of Cultural Agility, it is through the lens of international cultural relations. We overlook the wide variety of ethnicities that we interact with daily both Inter-culturally as well as Intra-culturally. Our Cultural Agility Strategist certification program provides the core competencies to shift consciousness within an organization by providing program candidates with best practices and leading-edge thinking for both inter-cultural and intra-cultural expansion through a Pro-Inclusional Leadership™ mindset. |
Having a Certified Cultural Agility Strategist™ (CCAS) on board who understands an organization's sub-culture and identity is essential because it affects all stakeholders (employees, clients, vendors, collaborative partners, etc.) productivity, innovation, confidence, and morale. Cultural Agility Strategists™ specialize in looking for potential unconscious bias barriers and blind spots underpinning a culture, which may be overlooked in the day-to-day operations. These cultural indicators are more readily identified when viewed through the lens of someone trained to take an objective and intuitive approach to subjective issues.
|
INTRA-CULTURAL = Cultural differences between individuals, all of whom belong to the same, larger cultural group and yet have variations within the group. INTER-CULTURAL = Cultural differences between people from two distinctly different cultures and ethnicities. |
What You'll Learn
CCAS candidates come from a variety of cultures, ethnicities, and backgrounds. Many are currently working as Senior Level Leadership, DEI, and HR Executives within organizations. Others are subject matter experts in a particular field who aspire to become Certified Cultural Agility Strategists™ (i.e., Educators). Still, others work as external consultants and wish to understand better and support their clients. Each of these backgrounds brings special areas of expertise to their organizations, communities, and professions.
Because Certified Cultural Agility Strategists™ come from diverse backgrounds, there are no specific prerequisites for earning the credential. Individuals who complete the program and pass the certification exam may use the designation "Certified Cultural Agility Strategist™" or "CCAS."
