We Remember That We
Belong to One Another We believe the Earth is not merely the place where we live. She is our shared home, our teacher, our inheritance, and our responsibility. We believe every human being carries Divine Light, inherent dignity, ancestral wisdom, and a purpose worthy of being recognized and nurtured. We believe humanity was never meant to survive through separation. We were created for relationship. For reciprocity. For remembrance. For the sacred work of becoming whole—within ourselves, with one another, and with the living Earth. We recognize that racism, oppression, violence, and systemic inequity have wounded individuals, families, cultures, communities, and generations. These wounds cannot be healed through silence, avoidance, intellectual understanding alone, or the performance of unity without truth. Healing requires courage. It requires us to acknowledge what has happened, to listen to what still hurts, to examine the beliefs and systems we have inherited, and to take responsibility for what we are now being called to repair. We believe racial healing is both personal and collective. It is the inner work of uncovering bias, fear, grief, shame, and inherited conditioning. It is the relational work of restoring trust, honoring difference, telling the truth, and learning how to remain present when discomfort arises. It is the structural work of challenging inequity, redistributing power, expanding access, and creating communities in which every person has the opportunity to thrive. We are committed to cultivating spaces where people do not have to abandon their identities, silence their experiences, or diminish their truth in order to belong. We create spaces where difference is not feared, diversity is not merely displayed, and inclusion is not reduced to invitation. We seek to build cultures of genuine belonging—places where people are seen, heard, protected, valued, and empowered to participate fully. We believe education can awaken consciousness, but knowledge must become practice. Understanding must become compassion. Compassion must become courage. Courage must become action. And action must become lasting transformation. We honor the wisdom of our ancestors while refusing to repeat the wounds they were unable to heal. We acknowledge the pain carried through generations, and we also reclaim the resilience, creativity, spiritual power, communal intelligence, and sacred gifts that have survived alongside it. We believe healing does not ask us to forget. Healing asks us to remember differently—to hold the truth without remaining imprisoned by it, to preserve the wisdom while releasing the wound, and to create a future that is not governed by the unfinished pain of the past. We understand that no one enters this work fully formed. We will make mistakes. We will encounter resistance. We will discover places within ourselves that still require attention, humility, and repair. We do not demand perfection. We ask for honesty. We ask for accountability. We ask for the willingness to listen, learn, repair, and begin again. We believe spirituality must deepen our responsibility to one another, not remove us from the realities of injustice. Divine understanding is not passive. It calls us to recognize the sacredness of every life, to confront anything that denies that sacredness, and to embody love not only as a feeling, but as a disciplined practice of truth, justice, compassion, and repair. We believe another way of living together is possible. A world in which our differences enrich rather than divide us. A world in which children inherit wisdom instead of wounds. A world in which communities are resourced, cultures are respected, leadership is shared, and justice is understood as the restoration of right relationship.A world in which humanity remembers that beneath every name, nation, race, ethnicity, tradition, and story, we belong to one Earth and emerge from one sacred Source. This is our purpose. To awaken remembrance. To cultivate understanding. To create spaces of belonging. To support healing across difference. To educate for liberation. To advocate for justice. To restore relationship. To nurture a more conscious, compassionate, and interconnected world. We are the Earth Purpose Institute for Divine Understanding. We are here to help humanity remember what separation taught us to forget: The Divine Light within me does not diminish the Divine Light within you. Your freedom is connected to my freedom. Your healing is connected to my healing. And the future of the Earth depends upon what we are willing to understand, repair, and transform—together. |
